Communication

There comes a point in every relationship that people move along the communication curve. People move from greetings to sharing their opinions and interests to their struggles to eventually their fears and their deepest secrets.

In a normal, healthy relationship, people will move in the direction of casualty to intimacy. However, some people just don't mesh well enough to fully move to the most intimate parts of communication. Other times, when trust no longer exists or something occurs, people will move from the most intimate levels to lesser levels at later times. There is always a chance that it may change only on one side of the relationship to where both people are not fully aware that the change has taken place.

Everyone has the choice of who they want to share their feelings and struggles to. We are never required to share them with everyone. In certain situations, people will tell one person parts of a situation and will tell others all parts of the same situation. This by no means that the person is telling two different stories or is being dishonest to either of the people they are communicating with. There are times to where the situation will bring up the deepest parts of a person's being to where they may not be willing to communicate it as effectively to some people.

Accountability

There is a level of accountability that people like to hold the people around them to. There are things that we can hold anyone to because there is no question if it is right or wrong. There are smaller struggles that people will often have one or a few close friends help them with. For the most part, I believe that people can choose and recognize who the people are that should hold them accountable.

Some people will use gossip as a form of accountability. This is completely wrong. If someone tells other people about a situation ~ especially when they don't know the amount of the situation that they are actually aware of ~ they are simply telling partial truths to people. This can be extremely destructive to the people in the situation as well as everyone that hears about it.

TONIGHT I GET TO SEE GAVIN DEGRAW....
for the 3rd time this year... Oh yeah. I am stoked. You would think that seeing him twice already...for the same album would be enough, but it's not. He is an amazing performer and musician as is the rest of his band.

I have to give a quick word of praise to Aqualung who is the only performer that I have ever seen that has surpassed Gavin, Mraz, and the amazing Tim McGraw (who is not Gavin's brother for all of you people that claim to know who either of them are).... Aqualung is just amazingly talented... With 4 people in the band, all of who play at least two instruments, 3 of whom played more than 2 in one song. All of whom sing... including the drummer... Have you ever seen a drummer come forward in a song to play other percussion instruments and sing?... Have you ever seen someone play the piano with a bass around their neck because they played both instruments during the same song?.... I haven't until I did with AQUALUNG.. :)

Back to Gavin... Obviously, he is still amazing... He does play acoustic and piano. He has an amazing voice and ARMS.... He and his band put out an amazing show.. otherwise, I would not want to see it a 3rd time... Here's to Gavin and looking forward to an amazing night of entertainment. :)

They allow running and walking. We can all do at least a walk for this, but I think it would be good all of us to strive for running the entire thing. Today I have officially started my training for the half-marathon... Yeah, I know I'm pretty behind, but it's okay. I joined Pure Fitness on Friday and I meet with a personal trainer tomorrow night. Wahoo!... So not excited to see where all my stats lie. Anyway, today, I ran with Mary a little over 3 miles. I probably only ran 2 of them, but hey, I was proud of myself for making it from my house all the way to the corner of Lindsay and Warner before I had to start walking..

So for those of you that may have thought that I dropped out.... I'm not. I'm just getting started. :)

Everyone has that one band that really causes them to come back to the heart of their walk and their passion for the Lord... for some it's U2, maybe Reliant K, Skillet, Bebo, Third Day, or others... for me, it's Philmore. Their one ~ out of the possibe 2 albums that they have made ~ rocks so hard core....I just gotta love that great 80's hard rock look they have in their album cover... Anyway, it's songs like this one that get the point across so simply and just cause my heart to be stirred for the Lord.
